For the suppression ( prevention of recurrent) or recurrent herpes simplex infections in immunecompetent patients.For the prophylaxis of herpes simplex infections in immune-compromised patients. For the treatment of herpes zoster infections. For the treatment of chickenpox .

Viral infections with herpes simplex 1 & 2, herpes zoster & varicella zoster. Treatment of herpes simplex encephalitis, genital herpes, herpes simplex keratitis, severe labial herpes, herpes zoster.
