4.6 Fertility, pregnancy and lactation Pregnancy and lactation There are no adequate data from the use of Plasma-Lyte 148 (pH 7.4) solution for infusion in pregnant or lactating women. The potential risks and benefits for each specific patient should be carefully considered before using Plasma-Lyte 148 (pH 7.4) solution for infusion in pregnancy or lactating woman. Plasma-Lyte® 148 (pH 7.4) solution should be administrated with special caution for pregnant women during labour particularly as to serum-sodium if administered in combination with oxytocin (see sections 4.4, 4.5 and 4.8). Fertility There is no information on the effects Plasma-Lyte 148 (pH 7.4) solution for infusion on fertility.
